The poems of the famous poet Giacomo Leopardi echo among the narrow alleys of Recanati.
Many are the places described in his poems to visit, from the Hill of Infinity to the Tower of the Lonely Sparrow, places where time seems to have freezed. Interesting also a visit to his library and to his house.
Crossing the historic town centre you can reach the main square with its town hall and the civic tower where it is possible to climb up its steps and glimpse the beautiful landscape stretching from the blue of the sea to the green of the mountains up to the pink of the town roofs.
Continuing your walk through the town street you will arrive at the Duomo and the Civic Museam where many works of the painter Lorenzo Lotto are preserved.
The last stop is Villa Colloredo Mels park, branch office of the WWF, located in the heart of the town, very interesting from a naturalistic point of view. Inside you will find areas dedicated to various types of plants and animals.
